Ahead of the Invincible season 2 release date on November 3, reviews have come pouring in. Early on, they are unanimously positive, with many calling the second season better than the first. Screen Rant's Cooper Hood writes, "With an updated animation style, new threats, and a more personal story, Invincible season 2 re-establishes itself as the best superhero show in recent memory.
Many of the Invincible season 2 reviews are comparing it to another adult superhero series on Prime Video – The Boys. Bradley Russell writes that Invincible season 2 is "heading for a similar stratosphere to The Boys." Inverse's Eric Francisco claims it has already surpassed The Boys, calling Invincible "Amazon's best superhero show.
The Invincible season 2 Rotten Tomatoes score has debuted to 100 percent, which is sure to fluctuate, but for now, surpasses season 1's stellar score of 98 percent. Many of the reviews are explicitly calling season 2 superior to season 1.
