Banyana Banyana suffered back-to-back defeats to Brazil after going down 6-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Monday evening. Read more ➡️

Banyana coach Desiree Ellis did ring the changes after the 3-0 defeat to the Brazilians three days ago, with goalkeeper Kaylin Swart, Janine van Wyk, Asanda Hadebe and Mapula Nomvula all recalled.

Swart kept Banyana in the contest after 20 minutes as she was able to keep out Ary Borges' strike in a one-on-one situation, before the shot-stopper swarted Debinha's effort after a poor pass out from the back. The South Americans were awarded a penalty minutes after the break when Swart brought down Bia Zaneratto, who calmly slotted the spot-kick into the far corner.
