To forestall any breakdown of law and order during Christmas and New Year celebrations, the So-Safe Corps in Ogun State has deployed 1,000 personnel

A statement by the corps spokesman, Moruf Yusuf, disclosed that the deployment was based on multiple intelligence at the agency’s disposal, coupled with records of black spots in various communities in the Gateway State.

In the statement, the So-Safe Commander, Soji Ganzallo, assured Ogun residents that arms and ammunition in circulation would be mopped up, effective from December 18, 2022, to January 10, 2023. The corps commander informed that all zonal and area commands of the agency had been instructed to deploy their officers to strategic places, stressing that their intelligence operatives should be distributed appropriately to negate all forms of crimes before, during and after the Yuletide.
