Vinny Corey names his squad for this weekend's Clones preliminary round tie with their fierce local rivals.
MONAGHAN boss Vinny Corey is without a raft of regulars for Sunday's crunch Ulster Championship opener against Cavan at Clones.
The absence of the key duo is a big blow to a Monaghan side, which was ravaged by injury during thier Division 1 campaign and suffered relegation.Corey has named Darren McDonnell to start in goals with Rory Beggan on the bench.Conor McManus is handed a start in his 19th season at this level. Michéal Bannigan is named on the bench but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he started, while Sean Jones is also on the bench after suffering an injury in the McKenna Cup loss to Donegal at the start of the year.
