KUCHING: Infrastructure development - particularly roads and telecommunications - will be the main focus of the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency, says a Sarawak deputy minister.
State Deputy Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Minister Martin Ben said infrastructure was one of five main thrusts for the overall development of the Greater Kuching area, which covers the hinterland of Kuching and Serian divisions.
Martin said the agency's other thrusts were utilities and telecommunications, agriculture development, non-agriculture economic development, and social development. This followed a request from Balai Ringin assemblyman Datuk Snowdan Lawan and local community leaders not to be left out.
