Influencers have their own rules to follow during the actorsstrike.
That being said, influencers are allowed and expected to fulfill their pre-existing work obligations if they are under contract with a struck company. So don't be too shocked if you see a few more #ads in your feed from influencers for struck companies like Amazon, Hulu, and the like.
As for big conventions, like ComicCon—which often present money-making opportunities for influencers via events and fan meet-and-greets—influencers are expected not to participate in the conventions or to promote any companies SAG-AFTRA is striking against. They may, however, attend and participate in conventions in ways that, per the website, “are wholly independent of characters from struck work or sponsorship by struck companies.
