An influencer's wife was tricked into buying an expensive gas regulator by a seller who took advantage of her busy schedule. The influencer expressed his anger and concern on social media, warning others of this scam.

In today's world, some companies, traders, or agents use various methods to ensure their products sell. Some employ peculiar marketing techniques to attract attention, while others irresponsibly manipulate customers for profit. This unfortunate fate befell a woman who was tricked by an individual into buying a ' gas regulator ' for RM377. The incident was shared by her husband, Zaidan Zainuddin, who is also an automotive influencer, expressing his anger at the individual's actions.

In a Facebook post on his account, Z Garage Evolution, Zaidan stated that the seller convinced his wife that the current gas regulator used in their home was dangerous and needed to be replaced for the safety of the family. \'This is the gas regulator + hose worth RM377 that your 'pau' my wife this afternoon! Eh, I understand that these blue-green uniform people are just doing direct selling,' he said. Zaidan explained that the seller took advantage of his wife's busy schedule caring for their numerous children to convince her to purchase the gas regulator. 'You took advantage of her situation to make your sales, and my wife let you into the house, and she gave you RM377,' he added. Zaidan clarified that the RM377 was very useful for them to buy other essential items rather than the gas regulator. 'Are you happy now because you managed to convince a vulnerable mother to buy your product? I wonder how many others you have cheated into buying this gas regulator,' he remarked. He further stated that he shared this incident on social media to prevent others from becoming victims like his wife. Based on our checks, the price of a 'gas regulator' for everyday household use is typically around RM25 to RM40. For industrial use, it can reach hundreds of ringgit depending on the quality and durability. However, for home use, it is sufficient to purchase a 'gas regulator' worth tens of ringgit, as long as it has a Sirim certification.
