(Reuters) - Australia's WiseTech Global said on Thursday its chief executive, Richard White, will step down with immediate effect, just two days after local media reported the settlement of a lawsuit between him and a woman reported to be his former lover.
PETALING JAYA: A social media “influencer” Adeline Chang was fined RM7,000 on Thursday after pleading guilty before the Sessions Court in Sepang for posting and captioning a photograph of a minor online with offensive remark s.
According to news reports, Chang, 24 was earlier charged under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act, which is punishable by up to one year’s imprisonment, a maximum fine of RM50,000, or both upon conviction.It was reported earlier that the hearing was disrupted due to Chang’s inability to follow the court proceedings in Malay, despite indicating to her lawyer Muhammad Rhastdan Abdul Wahab that she understood the national language.
