The helicopter, conducting aerial work, lost control during landing for refueling, resulting in a fire. While the pilot survived, an Indonesian national ground crew member, Pinsan Rizky, was fatally injured by a helicopter blade.

An accident involving a Bell 206L4 helicopter occurred at a landing site near Bentong , Pahang , at 10:26 am today (February 6). The helicopter, chartered and operated by MHS Aviation Berhad, was conducting aerial work before the accident. Unfortunately, as the helicopter was attempting to land for refueling, it lost control and caught fire. The accident resulted in the death of a ground crew member, an Indonesia n national named Pinsan Rizky.

He was struck by a helicopter blade on the head during the emergency landing. The pilot, the only other person aboard, survived. A spokesperson for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) confirmed that the helicopter was 100% burned upon landing. The spokesperson stated that the deceased was confirmed dead by the Ministry of Health (KKM) and suspected to have been struck by a blade, while the pilot survived. The fire was successfully controlled and extinguished by 11:06 am, and the victim's body was handed over to the police for further action. The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) also confirmed the incident on their X (@CAA_Malaysia) page. In a statement, CAAM explained that the last information received at 10:18 am from the operator to the Flight Information Service (FIS) at the Kuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control Center (KLATCC) was a notification that the helicopter was landing. As a result, the Malaysian Ministry of Transport's Air Accident Investigation Bureau will investigate the incident according to Section XXVI of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2016. This incident follows a previous helicopter accident in Malaysia on April 23, 2024, involving two Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) helicopters that collided in mid-air. All 10 passengers and crew onboard perished in the crash. There have also been other tragic incidents involving aircraft accidents in Malaysia, such as the Elmina, Shah Alam, Selangor, where a light aircraft crashed, killing 10 people. The victims included eight crew and passengers, and two more were civilians, a motorcyclist and a car driver
