A Facebook user named Awang Zakwan said he was stranded at the airport alone. "I hope my flight back will be smooth until I reach home," Awang says in his post.Another Facebook user, Kyrul Nizam Awang, posted a picture of his family sitting on the airport floor after their flight to Kuala Lumpur was cancelled. On her Facebook account, she wrote: "When asked what we can claim, the counter staff said they didn't know and suggested we request a refund. I'm upset they said that. I waited for an hour with my child.”A Facebook page named TawauSyurga reported that many passengers were also stranded at Tawau Airport, most of whom were tourists facing difficulties rescheduling their flights, hotels and other arrangements.
