JAKARTA - Indonesia’s central bank is set to continue its accommodative monetary policy this year to support economic growth, Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo said on Wednesday.
“Accommodative monetary policy continues,” he said, a day ahead of Bank Indonesia’s monetary policy review. Last year, Bank Indonesia cut its benchmark policy rate by 100 basis points to support growth and as pressure on the currency rupiahThe rupiah has gained around 1.6% so far this year to trade near its firmest in two years.
