Anthony Albanese has ruled out changes to the Voice to parliament referendum question and insisted voters will support the plan to recognise Indigenous Australians in the Constitution.
“This is about Indigenous Australians and their request that they have made,” the prime minister said. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, accompanied by ministers and Voice advocates, as he welcomed the passage of the Voice referendum bill through the parliament.Host Ben Fordham told the prime minister he was putting some Australians ahead of others with the plan for an Indigenous advisory body.
He said the Voice could not lobby the Reserve Bank over interest rates because the bank is independent of government.
