Indie Mohd Nor only has kind words for opponents despite loss

SEREMBAN: Rantau by-election independent candidate Mohd Nor Yassin may have only polled 79 votes, but it did not seem to get him down.

The 67-year-old former lecturer was full of positive messages for his rivals in the by-election following news that Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan had clinched the seat."To Tok Mat , congratulations for winning the seat. Continue the struggle. Congratulations to Pakatan Harapan candidate Dr S. Streram too. Winning and losing is part of a competition," he told reporters after polling results were announced on Saturday ."You are still young.

Mohd Nor also thanked members of the media and the Election Commission for facilitating the by-election.comfortable majority of 4,510 over Dr Streram's 5,887 votes, while Malarvizhi settled for 83 votes.
