Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny gets fan art reminiscent of classic posters.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny gets an old-school poster design thanks to an impressive new piece of fan art. The fifth film in the franchise will see Harrison Ford's next outing as the famed archeologist is expected to be the actor's last.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Following the recent release of the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny trailer, a new piece of fan art from artist C. Wilby gives the movie a classic poster design reminiscent of Spielberg's original Drew Struzan illustrated entries in the franchise. The art unites Ford with Mikkelsen, Waller-Bridge, and Rhys-Davies in a hand-drawn style that also incorporates elements from the trailer.
Plot specifics for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny are still under wraps, but the film is confirmed to take place predominately in 1969. While this would make Ford's hero not too far off from the actor's real-life age, the upcoming film is also expected to feature several flashback sequences. As was shown off in the movie's first trailer, these sequences will see Ford's Indiana Jones de-aged to look just like he did around the time of the original three movies.
Many questions remain about Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, but many fans are evidently hoping for a course correction after the divisive 2008 entry. Mangold's film has the difficult task of accounting for Ford's advanced age, but if it manages to recapture the more grounded feeling of Spielberg's original Indiana Jones movies it could end up serving as a worthy farewell to an iconic character.
