In retaliation, the Indian government expelled a Canadian diplomat after rejecting the Canadian Prime Minister’s allegations. Sky News host Peta Credlin said she heard at the G20 New Delhi summit in India there was a “palpable tension” between Mr Trudeau and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Trudeau has been on the record very supportive of the Sikh separatist movement,” she said. “It’s really gone up a notch now.”
