A collision between an Indian Navy boat and a passenger ferry off the coast of Mumbai resulted in at least 13 deaths. The Navy boat, undergoing an engine test, lost control and rammed the ferry, causing it to capsize. Over 100 people were rescued, and search and rescue operations are ongoing. The deceased include a navy personnel and two representatives from a equipment manufacturer participating in the test.
MUMBAI: Sekurang-kurangnya 13 orang maut apabila sebuah bot tentera laut India melanggar sebuah bot penumpang yang kemudiannya terbalik di perairan berhampiran ibu kota kewangan India , Mumbai .
“Akibatnya, bot tersebut bertembung dengan sebuah bot penumpang yang kemudiannya terbalik,” menurut kenyataan Tentera Laut di platform media sosial X. Rakaman televisyen tempatan menunjukkan sebuah bot yang membawa sekurang-kurangnya lima orang melanggar bot penumpang tersebut sehingga menyebabkan insiden itu berlaku.
