India dijangka tingkat pembelian minyak sawit Malaysia, kata timbalan menteri

INDIA dijangka meningkatkan pembelian minyak sawit Malaysia dalam masa terdekat walaupun eksport Malaysia ke negara itu menyusut 60 peratus Oktober lepas susulan pengenaan duti perlindungan oleh India terhadap minyak sawit proses dari Malaysia, Dewan Negara diberitahu hari ini. Timbalan Menteri Industri Utama Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin berkata kerajaan India mengenakan duti perlindungan sebanyak lima peratus selama enam bulan mulai 4 September lepas untuk melindungi dan menggalakkan industri penapisan minyak tempatan dan mengurangkan kebergantungan terhadap import minyak sayuran.
