KUCHING, Aug 28 — A civil servant was jailed for three years by the Sessions Court here today after he pleaded guilty to setting his mother’s belongings on fire.
Milan was charged under Section 436 of the Penal Code which provides for a jail term which may extend to 20 years of a fine. Based on the facts of the case, a neighbour saw Milan standing near the window of his mother’s house while holding a burning piece of paper, as if intending to set the curtains on fire.
