KULAI, April 13 — Two Indonesian convicts, who escaped but were eventually rearrested, have been remanded for four days pending an investigation into their daring bid to flee custody.
The same court also allowed for second detainee, Haji Samirudin, 36, to be remanded for four days starting Thursday until Sunday. “The remand order allows the police to conduct investigations into the incident,” he said in a brief reply toYesterday, Kulai police ended the manhunt for the two escapees after they were found in the district.According to police, they managed to slip out of their handcuffs before kicking open the van’s rear door in the 11.20am incident.
