IMF berkata, ekonomi Myanmar terjejas akibat penularan Covid-19 susulan kemerosotan mendadak dalam sektor pelancongan, kiriman wang dan gangguan rantaian bekalan.
WASHINGTON: Tabung Kewangan Antarabangsa akan menyediakan dana kecemasan berjumlah $356.5 juta kepada Myanmar yang berdepan kemerosotan ekonomi akibat penularan pandemik Covid-19. “Ekonomi Myanmar terjejas akibat penularan Covid-19 disebabkan kemerosotan mendadak dalam sektor pelancongan dan kiriman wang serta gangguan rantaian bekalan,” kata Timbalan Pengarah Urusan IMF, Mitsuhiro Furusawa dalam kenyataan pada Jumaat.
Dana itu “akan membantu menangani keperluan kewangan penting Myanmar berkaitan kejutan Covid-19 dan memangkin sokongan daripada rakan pembangunan.”
