THE Iloilo Province's 'Zero Open Defecation Movement' has been awarded the prestigious 2023 Galing Pook Award Thursday, on October 12, 2023.Dr. Maria Socorro Colmenares-Quiñon, chief of the Iloilo Provincial Health Office , led the Iloilo delegation during the award presentation.The award was presented by Mel Senen Sarmiento, chairperson of Galing Pook Foundation, and Benhur Abalos, Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government .
'Iloilo City Sports Academy , a Grassroots Sports Program for Ilonggo Youth, was among 17 finalists from LGUs across the countryshowcases its commitment to innovative and inclusive programs for its constituents.'I acknowledge the hard work of our Team Iloilo City for the entry of the Iloilo City Sports Academy for Galing Pook.
