Illegal trawlers in Muar waters a 50-year problem, says Syed Saddiq

THE livelihood of more than 1,000 fishermen’s families is affected by illegal trawlers that have encroached on Muar waters for 50 years, said MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman. He said the vessels encroach on waters up to Bagan district, between three and five nautical miles from shore, between 6am and 6pm.
