IGP tells district chiefs to steer clear of negative behaviour
Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani has urged district police chiefs to simply processes and cut bureaucracy to provide better quality service. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 7, 2023.
He also advised them to avoid negative behaviour but instead instil good values and give priority to the needs of stakeholders, whether they are members of the public or fellow police personnel. “Elements of speed, accuracy and transparency in the police service, especially in the investigation of cases, are what the community demands at this time,” he said during the Bukit Aman’s monthly assembly today.
He said that apart from informing individuals who filed a police report about the status of their case, the police need to enhance their investigation process.
