“We believe that everyone’s voice – and vote – deserves to be heard, and transportation should never be a barrier,” reads a statement on Lyft’s website. “That’s why this Election Day, Lyft is helping more people roll to the polls with access to discounted rideshare, bikeshare, and scooter rides.” If people using the app preload the code VOTE22 before election day, they can get a 50 percent discount on their ride to the polls on Nov. 8. The discount is applicable during voting hours in every time zone across the US, for a discount of up to $10
