Konflik manusia-buaya semakin meningkat di Sarawak dan idea menubuhkan pusat perlindungan di sungai yang dipenuhi buaya di negeri itu mendapat sambutan pakar reptilia. – Gambar EPA, 7 April, 2023.

SALAH seorang pakar buaya terkemuka Sarawak memuji cadangan untuk menubuhkan pusat perlindungan di sungai yang dipenuhi buaya di negeri itu sebagai penyelesaian untuk menguruskan konflik manusia-buaya yang semakin meningkat di negeri itu. Oswald Braken Tisen berkata cadangan itu yang pertama kali didedahkan oleh Timbalan Menteri Sumber Asli Len Talif Salleh minggu lepas adalah “sangat bagus” kerana di kawasan perlindungan itu populasi buaya boleh diuruskan “mengikut program penggunaan lestari”.
