Tara Coleman Hunter, 53, was arrested Thursday and charged with injury to a child, a third-degree felony. The incident occurred Friday, when the boy was sent to Hunter’s office because he was misbehaving in his pre-K class at IDEA Amber Creek, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said. Salazar said the boy struck Hunter and that she responded by pushing the boy into a file cabinet, causing a bump on his head. Hunter also punched the boy in his head, investigators said.On the day of the incident, a school nurse documented the knot on boy’s head, which changed color throughout the day, Salazar said.On Wednesday, Salazar said, the woman contacted the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office because she felt the school wasn’t being forthcoming and was blaming her son.
