"You could tell it just wasn't an animal that did it," he explained, adding that"it was obviously done with a knife." University of Idaho students Ethan Chapin, 20; Xana Kernodle, 20; Madison Mogen, 21; and Kaylee Goncalves, 21.returned to their home around 1:45 a.m. and were murdered some time between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m., according to police.
The Moscow Police Department also said that a separate dog was found at the home on the day of the murders and was given to a"responsible party."
