The shift to streaming music digitally spelled the beginning of the end for the iconic Aussie retailer, which will now focus on online sales to service its remaining customers.
The company announced the closures were coming back in January, with a statement from owner Ray Itaoui saying the shift to streaming had made physical store operations"impossible".

Picture: Peter Carruthers The brand grew from humble beginnings in Doncaster, Melbourne to have more than 200 locations across the country at its peak. "The business prospered and remained successful for many years, thanks to the dedication and commitment of our entire team," Mr Itaoui said in his January statement.
