The acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement blamed the murder of a 92-year-old Queens woman on New York City's sanctuary policy for illegal immigrants
Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Matthew Albence on Friday blamed the murder of a 92-year-old woman in Queens earlier this month on New York City’s sanctuary policy, which he said protects illegal immigrants with criminal convictions.
“It is unbelievable that I have to come here and plead with the city of New York to cooperate with us to help keep this city safe,” Mr. Albence said at a press conference at an ICE office in Lower Manhattan.
