ISKANDAR PUTERI: There has never been any indication that PAS was invited to join the unity government, says Rafizi Ramli.
The PKR deputy president said that he had never personally been made aware of such an invitation despite being closely involved in the formation of the unity government.
"Apart from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, it was me and the party's secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail. Rafizi, who is also Economy Minister, said this to the press after attending a dialogue on the mid-term study of the 12th Malaysia Plan here. Abdul Hadi reportedly claimed that the offer came about after Pakatan Harapan, especially PKR, realised that their position was unstable because the number of their Malay seats were not as many as PAS.
