Indigenous Australians Shadow Minister Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has slammed the Albanese government’s Voice to Parliament saying there is no “genuine appetite” in Canberra to tell the truth or to hear the truth. Jacinta Nampijinpa Price addressed the National Press Club Thursday afternoon and detailed why she is against the Voice to Parliament and explained why the referendum would only further 'divide the nation”. “I’ve been told that by speaking out, by amplifying the voices of the victims and the vulnerable, by bringing attention to the rampant abuse and neglect that I’m repeating the words of the oppressor,” Ms Price said at the National Press Club on Thursday. “I’ve been racially abused, vilified, named called and threatened with violence and why? Because I want to stop children from being abused because I want to stop women and men from being killed. “The truth is for all the moral posturing and virtual signalling about truth-telling there is no genuine appetite in Canberra to tell the truth or to hear the truth.”
