Chelsea legend, John Obi Mikel has opened up about his infamous transfer saga involving Chelsea and Manchester United.
Mikel was involved in a transfer battle between the two English giants shortly before the 2005 U-20 Youth Championship, where he was voted as the second-best player of the tournament.
Hia words: “I did the press conference, and it was everywhere. Then obviously Roman , everybody at Chelsea saw it, and they were like, ‘What’s going on here? We’ve been looking at this player for two or three years now; what’s happening here?’ Speaking further, Mikel stated that the presence of African players was a reason he chose Chelsea, and he wanted a place where he could create his own history.
