PETALING JAYA: Lawyer Mansoor Saat says that he is not a fugitive despite being wanted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
The NERS Sdn Bhd director and shareholder said he left the country lawfully and rejected the narrative that it is a sign of guilt.
On Aug 8, the MACC said they are looking for the son-in-law of former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and another individual to assist the investigation into alleged corruption and misappropriation of a project related to the registration and storage of foreign workers’ biometrics. He said the investigation was into the alleged bribery of government officers in relation to the change of the receiving account for the concession proceeds from the Home Ministry to the NERS’s operation account instead of to the scheduled and sanctioned project account.
