The plane flies on routes between Port Vila, Vanuatu, to Brisbane and Sydney, and Auckland in New Zealand.Australian travellers have been left stranded due to a technical issue affecting Air Vanuatu's sole Boeing 737 plane. "The cause of these disruptions is unscheduled technical work that is required on the aircraft," Air Vanuatu said in a statement.
"The airline appreciates that this break down is causing disruption to the travel plans of guests and Air Vanuatu recognises the paramount importance of passenger safety and the integrity of its operations."
