Rescue crews are working to free a humpback whale which is entangled in ropes off the NSW Central Coast. 9News
and Lake Macquarie have been called to help free the whale, which is stuck about 4.5 kilometres off the coast of Soldiers Beach near Norah Head.
Marine Rescue NSW Hunter and Central Coast manager Courtney Greenslade said they had requested further support from the NSW Parks and Wildlife Service."The Marine Rescue NSW vessels will play the role of mothership by carrying the NPWS crew and equipment," Greenslade said.A pod of whales was spotted frolicking off
