However, on Monday, the studio announced its closure after failing to secure the necessary funding for continued operations.
'Despite efforts to shield the studio from broader challenges in the industry, an unexpected shortfall of funding left us unable to sustain operations,' the company announced on LinkedIn. The studio expressed deep regret over not being able to complete their new science-fiction universe, emphasizing their commitment to supporting employees during their transition to new roles. Humanoid Origin, with approximately 70 employees, is the latest example of a high-profile studio struggling amidst a funding drought and tough times for the video game industry.
