Dozens of firefighters were called in to fight a massive blaze that broke out in Melbourne on Wednesday and forced road closures during the busy afternoon peak.
The fire broke out about 4pm in vacant factories on Clarendon Street, sending plumes of smoke billowing throughout the area.Firefighters on the ground were assisted by an air crew, with police and paramedics also called in to help with the response.
"FRV crews were on scene very quickly to find a factory fully involved in fire and the FRV response was escalated," Fire Rescue Victoria said. HAPPENING NOW: A Southbank building has gone up in flames, with smoke billowing out across the city skyline.
