A major earthquake which struck off the coast of the Alaskan Peninsula has sparked a tsunami warning for the region.
Tremors were felt widely throughout the Alaskan Peninsula and its surrounding islands.
The warning was issued for South Alaska, the Alaska Peninsula and regions of the Pacific close to the tremors. Residents near the coast were urged to move away from beaches, harbours, marinas and other bodies of water on the coastline.
