NFL: The NFL world and beyond was left captivated by the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce romance that has taken the sport by storm.
America’s most popular sport utterly dominates their media landscape. Tuning into ESPN in July, you’re more likely to see a discussion about the third-place AFC South team’s second-string linebacker than you are the ongoing baseball season - because they know the former will get better ratings.
It would be the first of many times Swift was shown during an NFL broadcast over the season; but that itself became a problem for America’s angriest men. “The NFL for years and years has been trying to court women and court more women fans, and to be frank, they haven’t always been very good at it,” The Ringer’s Nora Princiotti explained on NPR last month.
