Additionally, Tyler, The Creator is set to receive the cultural influence award in partnership with lifestyle brand The award aims to recognize “a younger, innovative, otherworldly artist that has significantly impacted the culture — while uplifting their community,” according to a release from BET. Recipients are selected through an editorial process involving input from LL Cool J.
