Lots of us wash our hair too little or too much

How often you should wash your hair is one of those age old questions that throws up lots of debate, even between hairdressers. So what's the answer?, says hair washing routines really depend on the person's lifestyle.

'If, say, you exercise every day then you might need to wash your hair more often,' he explains. 'But I also have clients that come in for a wash and blow dry once a week...so it really does depend on the person.'The type of hair you have also factors in to your hair washing routine. If you have an oily scalp or super-fine textured hair, you may need to wash your hair daily – and that's no bad thing.

'Many people think it’s bad to wash their hair everyday as this will dry it out, but that's n0t true if you are using high quality shampoos and conditioners and then gently drying the hair,' hairdresser Michael Van Clarke recently told
