Boosting the economies of states across Nigeria for the various state governments and people to rely less on Abuja for sustenance, is a significant strategy for fostering individual fulfillment and maintaining public confidence in the nation.
Pate, who delivered a public lecture on Nigeria’s diversity in honour of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s Chief of Staff, Dr Edgar Solomon who turned 60 at the weekend, said economically sound sub-national centres “create opportunities for all citizens so that people’s faith in the country can be sustained with less intensification for central control or violent struggles for other alternatives.
Edgar, who formally retires from the state civil service by clocking 60, thanked all people of goodwill for identifying with him.
