AFL great Wayne Carey has helped finally sell a North Melbourne apartment looking down on his former stomping ground almost 150 days after it was listed

He might have channelled a bit of his past talent when he stepped in as an ambassador for the sky-high residence that had been on the market since October last year.

After agreeing to help earlier this year, Carey attended a few open-for-inspections and appeared in a video about the home. OBrien Real Estate’s John Rombotis, a former footballer himself who played against the King in the 1990s, handled the listing alongside colleague Luke Fornieri.Carey and OBrien Darren Hutchines with the view down to the Arden St home of the Kangaroos behind them.He added that Carey had certainly had an impact on the sale, boosting attention on the listing and raising its profile enough for it to gain the attention of the eventual buyer, a dentist who hadn’t previously seen it.
