A quick-thinking teacher has managed to locate a disoriented student who went missing in Victorian bushland on school camp.A teacher who noticed the boy was missing left the group to try to find him. He managed to follow the sound of the boy’s voice and eventually located him unharmed, but then both the teacher and the student found themselves stuck in dense terrain.About 3.30am the AirWing located the pair in the bushland and aerial footage shows them waving to the aircraft.Credit:The teacher and student were winched to safety and checked over by paramedics as a precaution.
“Both the man and the boy were very grateful when they saw the police helicopter hovering above them,” Air Wing Inspector Kelly Walker said in a statement. “Although unfortunate they got lost, sticking together was the right thing to do.
