Officers Monday morning were looking for a man and a stolen vehicle in connection with a fatal shooting near Timbergrove, according to the Houston Police Department.

Investigators were searching for James Gerald Martin III, 37, who has not been seen since a shooting around 8:30 a.m. Friday, officials said. The police were also searching for a stolen or missing 2022 white Dodge Ram pickup truck with an Oregon license plate, 915LP.Both the truck and Martin were sought in connection with a fatal shooting, officials said. Martin has not been charged with any crimes.
Officers around 8:30 a.m. Friday were conducting a welfare check at a residence in the 1700 block of West T.C. Jester Boulevard when they found a man, 35, with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not yet been identified. Investigators said they believe the shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday and that a pickup truck was taken after the shooting.
