Ground stops issued at Bush, Hobby airports due to storms
Inbound flights to both Bush Intercontinental Airport
and Hobby Airport were blocked from landing Monday afternoon because of passing thunderstorms in Houston. Flight tracking website FlightAware reported inbound flights to Hobby were being held until 4 p.m. And inbound flights to Bush were ordered to hold until 4:45 p.m.Fairfield Lake State Park closes as state fights for land from luxury developerScattered storms were forecast for the Houston area on Monday afternoon. The National Weather Service in League City hadn't issued any storm warnings as of 3:45 p.m., but radar shows heavy rain across the metro region.
