THE House of Representatives has realigned P1.23 billion worth of confidential funds allocated for civilian government agencies under the proposed P5.768 trillion budget for fiscal year 2024, including that of the Office of the Vice President and Department of Education .
Aside from the OVP and DepEd, the HoR also stripped off the confidential fund allocated under the 2024 proposed budget to the Department of Agriculture , Department of Information and Communications Technology , and Department of Foreign Affairs .The OVP and DepEd, which are both under Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio, are seeking P500 million, and P150 million worth of confidential funds for 2024, respectively.
