The House Committee on Creative Industry and Performing Arts approved on Tuesday, Jan. 17 a proposed measure that seeks to recognize United States -based Filipino actress Dolly de Leon.De Leon, 55, recently made waves with her nomination in the Golden Globe Awards in the Best Supporting Actress category for her portrayal of a toilet manager in the movie, “Triangle of Sadness”.
Earlier, De Leon won the Best Supporting Performer award in the Los Angeles Film and Critics Association for the same role. Pangasinan 4th district Rep. Christopher de Venecia, chairman of the creatives industry panel, carried the approval of HR No.653 during a panel hearing Tuesday.
