Q: What are some of your most popular Hakka dishes?My favourite dish on the menu is the duck breast. Going with the spirit of the Hakka we’re using duck, which is a traditional Hakka meat, and we’re bringing some Canadian influence in it by using a maple apple glaze on the outside. It’s Canadian maple syrup and apple cider vinegar and it goes just excellent together.
Another thing is our soups. Hakka food is really famous for the hot and sour soup and manchu soup. Whenever people have our hot and sour soup they say it’s probably the best soup they’ve ever had. I’ve had a lot of people order a second bowl. We can make everything gluten-free as well because we have gluten-free soya sauce and rice noodles.
