The House of Representatives on Friday changed its rules to allow for remote voting during the coronavirus pandemic in the most significant change to the legislative body’s procedure in its history.U.S. Capitol May 14, 2020 in Washington, DC. Speaker Pelosi held a weekly news conference to fill questions from members of the press.House members will now be able to conduct all committee business and hold committee hearings remotely.

Lawmakers will also be able to vote on behalf of as many 10 other House members who authorized them to do so via a letter to the House clerk.
